Synopsis
When a Soul Walks tells the story of Edward Long, a brilliant neurosurgeon whose career is tragically cut short. Three months after his brain tumor diagnosis, Edward succumbs to his illness and leaves his family behind...that is, in World One.
Edward ends up in a purgatory known as the Waiting Room. Here, he attempts to heal from past traumas, facing the feelings he was taught to avoid, while growing into the person he's destined to become. With the help of a Saint, he travels to different worlds and is put through tests where he encounters people from his previous lives.
Edward’s memories are distorted on his travels between worlds. It is through the process of recovering his memories that he becomes closer to finding out why all of this matters, and who he truly is.
Can Edward break the generational cycles that shaped him? Are humans truly capable of change? And how many lifetimes will it take to fix the damaged parts of himself?
